New Jersey Facts

When I lived in New York I flew in and out of New Jersey all the time.  New Jersey is The Garden State.  I would have gone for The Barbecue State myself, as there is always something around Newark that is on fire.  Also, The Barbecue State Parkway would be a swell name for a road.

New Jersey has one of my favorite place names ever:  Weehawken.  New Jersey is the home of the Pine Barrens which, except for the Desolation Preserve Wilderness, is one of the harshest place names ever.  New Jersey is the birthplace of Grover Cleveland, arguably one of the 42 best US Presidents!  Also, the buff and blue flag?  Awesome.

All in all, New Jersey is getting a pretty raw deal and I would like to be the first to welcome them and their piney barrens to the Bluenited States.
