I went to junior high in Rhode Island, so I know
nothing about the state. I checked out the website, but the links were
broken, though they have a very polite message.
As far as I can tell, Alaska could not exist without
Rhode Island because then Alaska would have nothing to compare things to.
The Malaspina Glacier is the size of the state of Rhode Island. The Kodiak
Bear is half the size of Rhode Island. The average cruise ship is three
times the size of Rhode Island. The Chocolate Chip Cookies in the snack bar
at Denali are one third the size of Rhode Island.
Frankly, without Rhode Island, the US would have gone
metric years ago. If you think I’m wrong, check out what happened to
Canada, which has no Rhode Island. They are all metric now. In fact,
examine every country in the world that uses metric and you’ll notice that
not one of them includes the state of Rhode Island. I rest my Rhode Island
sized case.
